On Friday morning(25 Jan),about 6 am...
We received a call from Tampines...
A woman in her 30s has collapsed...
And she was 5 months pregnant...
I was still feeling drowsy from my sleep and did not prepare on what was going to happen later on...
As we arrived at scnene,i was taken aback when i saw the patient's face was pale...
I was told to do CPR...
I was completely stunned by the situation that i forgot what protocol that i was supposed to do...
I even forgot how and what to prepare for the required protocol...
Even from the patient's house to the ambulance,i still have to continue the CPR even by using one hand...
It was quite havoc having to do the CPR when the ambulance was travelling at quite a speed...
Like trying to stand straight during an earthquake...
Once reached at the hospital,we quickly sent her to A & E room...
After the whole situation has ended,i still felt a bit shaky cause it was really a tiring case...
After my shift ended,i couldnt helped thinking about the incident...
Days after...
I was told that the patient did not survived...
And it got me right in the heart...
Did i do something wrong?
Did i not do a proper CPR?
Only God knows the answer...
For all i know,
i've tried my best and will do my best for the upcoming cases in the days ahead...
